SUPERCASINO BID LOSS BLOW TO WELSH ROLE IN 2012 OLYMPICS - WILLOTT1.54.19pm GMT Tue 30th Jan 2007 Responding to the announcement that Cardiff has not won the bid for a regional casino, Jenny Willott MP , said: "I am deeply disappointed by today's news. All those involved have worked tirelessly to put forward an incredibly strong bid for Cardiff to take the casino development. "Today's news will mean that Cardiff will miss out on the thousands of jobs and investment expected under the casino development. But it also raises real concerns about whether the International Sports Village will be up and running in time for to contribute to the 2012 Olympics."
